On 1st and 2nd of October 2016, we went for the first time at the Makerfaire Galicia with our own stand. The must-attend event for makers and creators that was held for the first time in Galicia (the previous one was a Mini-Makerfaire).
We had been in the last edition of the Makerfaire Tokyo in August, and we wanted to compare the work done here with our experience in one of the great fairs at the global level, with the permission of the MakerFaire USA, that has other figures. The truth is that it did not disappoint us at all; the public crowded our stand all that weekend.
We were in a double wide stand directly in front of the entrance, what became a must for people who began the journey through the stands.
We took two units of our 3D Limitless ILC 3D printers, as well as print samples in different materials and resolutions, that the public could see and touch. We stayed two days printing all kinds of things: figures, vases, technical parts, etc. and most of the audience couldn’t just believe the print quality and speed of our 3D Limitless ILC 3D Printers, until they could see them live.
In the fair, there was a multitude of amazing 3D printers, some CNC routers and Wasp Delta 3D printers next to our stand which were more than 3 meters Z axis high. In addition, there were many scientific experiments, robotics, drones, and a lot of ideas of the makers who joined the Makerfaire.
The event boomed in Santiago de Compostela, so TVG news channel broadcasted the impact of the event, and the press emerged all weekend here and there, making interviews, taking photos and videos. We created our own marketing through all staff clothing, the projection on our stand of the printer video clip, brochures of the machine, and the launch of our new website, which eventually would be delayed a few days because we wanted to launch perfectly and it wasn’t totally ready.
